process of opposite posters and mesh project

Here is what i've completed for my mesh project. It takes time, but it's coming together. I posted pictures below of how i created each piece.

I changed the words i'm doing for the 11x17 poster. For the first word i chose to do is serenity. i'm still working with it. somehow i twisted my entire image by accident so i'm trying to see if i can undo it. but that's the process so far. I've used the quick selection tool to cut out flowers and images to add in. 

This is the other word i'm going to use is wrath. This one is complete yet either but this is what i've done so far. The first picture i took when i was on a plane. I decided the image below from the plane was neat and using it with wrath it's almost like everything cracking from the rage and anger. then i added filters and effects to the image and the last image is where i added two images one you can see coming through at the top and the other is visible. I used those images from halloween horror nights 4 years ago. We will see what the end product of both posters are.

For this next upcoming project on opposites i plan to use serenity and disturbance. I have all my photos that i am going to use. I began working on it. The photo i've posted is part of the disturbance poster. I used the quick selection tool to select part of a person who was dressed up in a costume from when i went to halloween horror nights about 4 or 5 years ago. I'm adding a background and other pieces as well. I changed the opacity of the image to make it lighter because it will eventually fade in the background. I also use the smudge tool to smudge the edges a little.

Photoshop Project

For this project i added a lot of components from photoshop. Most of them are blended together to create a certain tone. At first i wasn't sure about how this project would turn out, but each time added and played around i saw it come together. I divided each section of the elephant to pieces and i have them displayed separately like how the continents are separated on a globe. 

As shown in the first and second picture below i choose a style background and added a certain brush texture to give that look at the very top in blue (clouds) and the bottom as the ground. 

for this background picture i took out the gradient color background to give it a darker look.

The picture below is all the shapes together and i was seeing how things were placed.

 This picture below was the final look i came up with. I used a mixture of paint brushes, text, style tool, adjustment tool, brightness and contrast, filters, the burn and dodge tool to create the final image. For the text i did a 3D text. I also postalized the image to have the background begin to create those lines. I have both with the dark background and light background image.  I love the overall image.

Cant forget my cloned stamp :) i decided to clone the eyes and make it a 3 eyed elephant. 

Process...

So wasn't really sure what to do for this project or if i'm going about it the right way, but i choose a picture i took. i've only done 2 sections already done. I did the elephants head and used the burn and doge tool. I also added a filter over it. Next, i worked on the back portion of the elephant and i used the layer style tool to give it that color. I still have four sections to work on. I'm most likely going to clone the elephant trunk and for the mid section divide into three sections and add brightness and contrast, adjustments, and use the pencil and brush. I'll add text to the curve of the back of the elephant or the cure of the trunk. Still in the process.

concept- photoshop

Concept

I haven't been set on an exact picture that i want to use for this photoshop project. I've used photoshop in the past and with this project i plan to use the tools required and use other tools as well. This project should come out interesting. Below are some pictures i plan to choose from. i uploaded some pictures i took of animals when i visited a zoo. I want to have each part of the picture when divided to flow.

Logo Exercise

I created by using the pen tool and just going over the actual logo. Didn't find it difficult at all. help get used to the pen tool. sometimes with certain edges it did get a little difficult, but overall i thought i was great practice to get used to the pen tool.
